Scenic Standup Paddle on the Majestic Mekong River.
Tour highlights
There’s nothing better to explore the iconic Mekong River than being a part of it! If celebrating the great outdoors with a bit of workout is what your heart’s after, look no other than this three-hour Standup Paddle Board tour in Vinh Long, Mekong Delta.
Come with us and spend a magnificent few hours navigating our way through rocky islets and exploring one of the two biggest tributaries of the “Mother River” after it enters Vietnam after an epic 4400-kilometer adventure from the tip of Tibet Mountain.
Launch from the edge of Co Chien River and spend 3 hours exploring the waterways of the majestic Mekong Tributary. The current can be mild or demand more attention depending on which route you take part in. No matter which one you choose, it’s gonna be a great day!
Often guided by tropical birds, water hyacinth, sand barges, and enormous fish cruises, we wind our way through the alluvial-rich waters and land on beautiful, shaded shores to enjoy a rest, all the while feeling as though we are worlds away from civilization.
You will come away from this tour feeling rejuvenated and wanting to come back for more.
LAUNCH POINTS (Choose one)
Option 1: ‘Ancient Temple’ Promenade | 5 minutes on bicycle from Mekong Pottery Homestay.
Starting at this spot means you’ve gotta sail across the mighty Co Chien River with slightly strong currents first before heading further into smaller rivers sheltered by An Binh Island. Depending on the time of the day, there might be two reverse-direction currents on the same body of water.
Option 2: ‘Con Chim’ Promenade | 25 minutes on bicycle from Mekong Pottery Homestay.
This launching spot is a great option for those who wanna take it easy. This route meanders along the bank of Co Chien River instead of sailing directly across the river. The current here is less intense, making it a great call if you’re new to SUP.
